Faculty members and administrators at Sul Ross-Rio Grande College have revised the requirements for the Bachelor of Business Administration degree, giving students more freedom to pursue the areas that interest them and presenting them a more convenient path to finish the degree.
Students may now choose 30 hours of business electives in several areas of emphasis, including accounting, finance, management, marketing, management information systems, or economics. Before, the degree plan locked them into a set program of courses and allowed only nine hours of electives, and because not all courses are offered every semester, some students waited for certain classes to be scheduled. With the change, those in the program can continue working towards their degree, leading to a faster and more affordable transition from student to graduate.
Professor and Business Department Chair Dr. Terry Carson said, “We in the Business Administration department feel that this revised degree will allow the student more flexibility, the ability to choose an emphasis of interest, and will likely result in a more timely path to graduation.” For more information, telephone Carson in Uvalde at 830.279.3042 or email him at email@example.com.
