A College Degree is Within Reach!

By Laura Nelson

Enrollment is well underway at Sul Ross-Rio Grande College, and with a new bachelor’s degree and four new master’s programs, RGC offers students more options than ever.

The Bachelor of Applied Science provides a convenient way for students who have a technical or vocational educational background to earn a four-year degree. In addition, students who have significant, relevant work experience may also qualify to earn credit using a recognized assessment process. The Organizational Leadership emphasis prepares students for effective management while the Child Development component offers graduates a degree that meets the requirements to teach Head Start and other child care agencies.

Four new online masters’ programs including English, Criminal Justice, History, and Public Administration have joined the existing Master’s of Business Administration degree. All coursework for these programs is completed online, perfect for working adults.

The 10K Scholar’s Program, a collaboration between Sul Ross-RGC and Southwest Texas Junior College, gives students an opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree in either biology or mathematics for $10,000 using a rebate schedule. Find the requirements online at http://www.sulross.edu/page/1565/10k-scholars-program, or contact RGC staff.
