The staff of the Center for Big Bend Studies has extensive backgrounds in Texas history and archeology with a strong emphasis in the Trans-Pecos region and peripheral areas. The center's position as a department of Sul Ross State University provides access to the resources of the Archives of the Big Bend, the Museum of the Big Bend, Bryan Wildenthal Library and other academic and research units of the university.
