Ms Martha Hernandez
She holds a BA in History with minor in Psychology from Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College. Her plans are to attend Graduate School and study counseling in the near future. Martha has three children; Lulani Esai, Niko Leonardo, and Alena Hope Hernandez. Being passionate about writing; she is a song-writer as well as a published poet. Martha aspires to publish her own collection of poems and short stories in the next year.
Before employed with SRSU, she was working as a substitute teacher for the San Felipe Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District working with Middle School students. Martha enjoys working with the GEAR UP program because she encourages the students to follow their dreams and strives to guide them towards a successful future.
