Dr. Ira Blanton received his Ph.D. in English from Texas Tech University. He teaches folklore and Southern literature and established the Ira Blanton Folklore Endowment, which provides funds for folkloric programs and student scholarships. Ira serves as a sponsor for Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society.
