Dr. Laura Payne Butler received her Ph.D. in Creative Writing from Texas Tech University. Her prose and poetry have appeared in journals and anthologies, and her fiction has been nominated for the Puschcart Prize. Laura teaches creative writing--fiction and Southern literature. She serves as the advisor for the Sage and editor of New Texas.
