Dr. Barney Nelson received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Nebraska--Reno. She is author of seven books and numerous journal and magazine articles as well as being recognized for her photography. Barney serves as director of Alpine's QEP and teaches courses with an ecocritical perspective as well as creative writing--nonfiction.
