The university post office provides full mail support with the exception of stamped cards offered by the city branch of the post office. Services include the sale of stamps, money orders and stamped envelopes; the handling of incoming and outgoing mail for SRSU; and mail box rental for students, faculty and staff.
It is mandatory for all students at SRSU to have a local mailing address.
Payments must be made in cash. University departments have postage accounts they are expected to use.
Delivery times
Faculty and department mail is usually available by 11:30 a.m. and student mail is available by 1 p.m. All mail goes out of SRSU at 3 p.m. weekdays.

For mail and packages delivered by the U.S. Postal Service, university departments in Alpine should use their box number and the zip code 79832.
Packages being delivered to SRSU by a service such as Federal Express or UPS should be addressed to Central Receiving (include the department’s building and room number), Highway 90 & Harrison Street, Alpine, TX 79830.
