Classroom Reservation Policy

Policies for the Bryan Wildenthal Memorial Library Classroom

Use of the Library Classroom (Room 201) is subject to the following policies:

Because primary use of the room is for library bibliographic instruction, scheduling of the classroom is the responsibility of the library. To schedule a library bibliographic instruction session or reserve the room, please contact Linda Epps, Education Coordination Librarian at (432) 837-8414 or lepps@sulross.edu. A library bibliographic instruction session may also be requested using the online request form.

The room is not available for regular meetings of any group, including regularly scheduled classes.

Reservations for library bibliographic instruction sessions may be made by faculty for their classes at any time.

• Library bibliographic instruction sessions should be scheduled by faculty at least three (3) days in advance of the requested date in order to ensure both availability and adequate preparation time.
• Every effort will be made to accommodate classes on short notice if necessary, but the Education Coordination Librarian can not guarantee room availability or in-depth instruction.
• Instructors are highly encouraged to attend library bibliographic instruction sessions with their students in order to underscore the importance of the instruction session. However, if instructors are unable to attend the session with their students, the Education Coordination Librarian will take attendance and provide an attendance sheet after the session.
• Instructors who have classes with students with disabilities enrolled should notify the Education Coordination Librarian so proper accommodations can be made.

Other groups may contact the Education Coordination Librarian to schedule workshops or other meetings suitable for the library classroom at any time with the understanding that library bibliographic instruction sessions for University classes have priority.

Should cancellation of the reservation become necessary, please notify Linda Epps, Education Coordination Librarian at (432) 837-8414 or lepps@sulross.edu so that others may utilize the room.
