APA Style

APA Style (.pdf)

This brief guide illustrates common types of citations using APA format. Many kinds of sources are not covered in this guide so it is strongly advised that you consult the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition (APA Style Manual) for complete information. Sections 6.11-6.21, "Citing References in Text," and Chapter 7, "Reference Examples," are particularly helpful for guidance on parenthetical references and preparation of the reference list.

The APA Style Manual is available in the reference collection and at the circulation desk on the first floor of the library. (R 808.06615 P976 2010)
