2005 Edition

The 2005 edition of New Texas has just been published.

Concept

New Texas is a literary anthology focusing upon Texas.

James Ward Lee founded the yearly publication in 1991 under the sponsorship of The Center for Texas Studies. The goal of the anthology was to "spotlight poetry and fiction by Texas writers."

In 1998 Mary Hardin-Baylor University became the sponsor of New Texas, and Donna Walker Nixon joined James Ward Lee as editor.

During the time Mary Hardin-Baylor University sponsored the anthology, Audell Shelburne and Carolyn Poulter also served as editors.
