Lobo “L” Hand Sign

It is unclear when the Lobo “L” hand sign began being used by Sul Ross cheerleaders during the singing of the Alma Mater. Not only does the hand sign look like the letter “L”, it also looks like a lobo raising its head back to let out a howl. No matter the origins this hand sign, it reminds Sul Ross fans, students, faculty, staff and alumni to cheer for their Lobos.
