OIT Training and Workshops
Throughout the academic year the Customer Service and Instructional Technology Department within OIT offers Brown Bag training and seminar sessions for faculty, staff, and students. The topics range from how to get connected, Blackboard, Microsoft Office products and beyond. These sessions are designed to be short and informal so users can ask questions and receive answers from expert staff and faculty.
The Customer Service and Instructional Technology Department also offers more structured trainings and workshops on both a scheduled and a requested basis. Campus users can sign up for scheduled events or departments can request group trainings/workshops for specific needs.
We are currently offering one-on-one training sessions for Faculty for Blackboard 9. If you are interested in attending one or more sessions, please contact Joe Renieri (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Sandy Bogus (email@example.com).
Beginning Spring 2014 ALL classes will be offered in Blackboard 9 ONLY!
Please copy and retrieve all important content from Blackboard 8 and transfer to Blackboard 9 since access to Blackboard 8 will be turned off in Spring 2014.
Self-Paced online training is offered through our LTAC Helpdesk system solutions center in multiple formats including presentations, documents, and videos.
Users can call the LTAC helpdesk or submit an online request for in person, individualized training or help with the use and implementation of instructional technology both from the technical side and from the curriculum/pedagogical side.
