SAT & ACT
Students entering Sul Ross or any other Texas public university as freshmen must provide ACT or SAT scores as part of their admission requirements. Contact the Admissions and Records Office for more information on admission requirements.
The Sul Ross Testing Center administers both tests on Saturdays. Check the Testing Schedule for dates and registration information or visit www.collegeboard.com or www.act.org for registration bulletins, online registration and practice tests.
The ACT-Residual test is administered during new student orientations during the summer prior to the Fall semester. This test is identical to the ACT except that administration dates are scheduled by the institution and scores may only be used for admission to Sul Ross State University.
This test costs $55. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
ACT-Residual scores will not meet NCAA standards nor qualify a student for TSI exemption. Click here to access the ACT Residual website.
