TSIA Test Scores Required
The State of Texas requires a basic skills (reading, writing, and math) assessment of all students enrolling in public higher education who are not exempt. Students who have not taken the TSIA for Texas Success Initiative compliance must do so prior to enrolling at Sul Ross State University. Check with your local community colleges/universities for tests offered and test dates in your area.
Official test scores must be on file with the registrar in order to properly advise during registration. Students should contact the registrar at (432) 837-8713 to verify that scores are on file.
Testing is available at SRSU the day preceding each New Student Enrollment Session, during the summer. Students should call the Career Services and Testing Office at (432) 837-8178 or (432) 837-8357 in order to sign up for the test. Students who call to sign up for testing should leave their name and number and indicate that they want to sign up for the TSIA test during their visit to a Lobo Registration Day.
