Student Organization Awards

Student Leader of the Year
This award recognizes a student member of a registered club or organization who demonstrates outstanding leadership in promoting the success of their organization to both their club membership and the Sul Ross Community.

Student Organization Advisor of the Year
This award recognizes an advisor who has provided outstanding support for a student organization. As an advisor, this individual possesses the ability to provide fresh ideas that enhance the development of the group’s members and, when necessary, aid in solving difficult situations within the group.

Community Service Award
This award honors a student organization for their participation in a community service project or their individual effort to contribute to their local community. Nominations were judged based on hours served and how their particular project met a need in their local community.

Student Organization of the Year
This award honors an organization that has involved the campus community through a significant project or program and has taken on a leadership role on campus. This organization has the ability to follow its purpose statement, accept and overcome conflict, and sustain itself in creative ways.

Nominations may be submitted by any member of the Sul Ross community including: Faculty, Staff, Students, and Administration.
