Scholarships

    

The SRSU Theatre Program has three primary scholarship and award sources: the Dan Blocker/Freda Powell Scholarships in Theatre, the Grace M. Davis Drama Fund Scholarship and the Grace M. Davis Drama Excellence Fund Scholarship. Other financial awards are possible, depending on the general operating budget of the program. These additional awards would be distributed at the discretion of the Director of Theatre.

DAN BLOCKER/FREDA POWELL SCHOLARSHIP IN THEATRE ($200-$500 per year) Requirements:

  1. Student must be a Theatre major or minor with acting emphasis.
  2. Student must be active in SR Theatre productions.
  3. Available to undergraduate and graduate students.
  4. Awarded by department in May.

GRACE M. DAVIS DRAMA FUND SCHOLARSHIP ($200-$500 per year) Requirements:

  1. Student can be from any major program.
  2. Student must be active in SR Theatre productions.
  3. Student must complete some theatre course work.
  4. Available to undergraduate and graduate students.
  5. Must apply by March of each year.

GRACE M. DAVIS DRAMA EXCELLENCE FUND SCHOLARSHIP ($250-$1,500 per year) Requirements:

  1. Student must be a Theatre major or minor.
  2. Student must be active in SR Theatre productions.
  3. Available to undergraduate and graduate students.
  4. Must apply before March of each year.

WADE "BUBBA" CARROLL TECHNICIAN SCHOLARSHIP ($250-$500 per year) Requirements:

  1. Student must be a Theatre major or minor with technical emphasis.
  2. Student must be active in SR Theatre productions.
  3. Available to undergraduate and graduate students.
  4. Awarded by department in May.
