In the Range Management concentration you will learn to manage rangelands for sustainable use. Rangelands cover almost half the land across the globe and provide a wide range of goods and services for society, including food and fiber from livestock, water, carbon sequestration, and wildlife habitat. Our program focuses on learning applied management techniques, with an emphasis on field learning. The Degree Plan includes a wide range of courses in range science, habitat management, and wildlife science. Electives can be taken in animal science, biology, or geology, depending on the career goals of the student. When you graduate you will have the skills to manage rangelands and ranches across North America. Join the nationally recognized Range and Wildlife Club, which serves as the student section for the Society of Range Management, for volunteer opportunities and career development.
