Responsibilities: The Curriculum Council shall review and recommend changes in the curriculum. More specifically,the council shall (a) review all proposals for curriculum program and degree changes, (b) review proposed changes in the requirements for graduation and (c) develop the means for evaluating the educational effectiveness of the curriculum.
Membership: Five faculty elected by Faculty Assembly, two students designated by the Student Government Association, and a representative of the Title V program.
Term: One-year and three-year

The following schedule for submission of Curriculum Change Requests intended for implementation for the Fall Semester of 2012 (n.b.: a year from now) is now posted on the website of the Curriculum Council and is in effect:
October 1st - Department Chairs forms submitted to Deans’ offices
October 8th - Deans' offices pass form requests to Provost
October 15th - Provost moves approvable forms to Curriculum Council
November 14 - Report to the Faculty Assembly
December 1st - Curriculum Council moves approved forms to Provost
January 15th - Approved forms moved to President
February - Approved forms moved to Board of Regents
March - Approved forms reported to THECB
