Mazie Will's business classThe Bachelor of Arts degree in Administrative Systems & Business Technology (ASBT) prepares students for employment as an administrative assistant, executive assistant, supervisor, records manager, technology coordinator, corporate trainer, and general office manager. Demand for qualified and skilled personnel is expected to grow in all areas of business, industry, government, not-for-profit, and education entities.

The planned sequence of courses in the ASBT program provides incremental skill development.

ASBT provides students with an understanding of the impact of technology on business routines and procedures with the skills necessary to work with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and clients.

Students who want to teach business education in Texas schools, Grades 6-12, may take additional prescribed courses to become a certified teacher. Professional education courses are coordinated with the Department of Education.
