Scholarships

The 2010 Reunion was a HUGE success - We had a very good turnout and had a lot of new members! Michelle Farley has done a great job with our Facebook page! Let's keep it up - contact your old SR buddies and ask them why they weren't there!  OUr membership is our strength!

Between 2001 and 2010, we have raised over $105,000 in scholarships funds for Sul Ross State University. This includes a permanent scholarship fund for the continued growth and support of the programs administered by the ANRS and in support of the Rodeo Program. The account currently has a principal balance of approximately $30,000.

Following the summer Reunion, the Executive Board determines the amounts of funds to be distributed as scholarships and to the endowments, Scholarship funds are then remitted to Sul Ross State University in the established scholarship accounts. Once these monies have been remitted to SRSU, final allocation of these funds are at the sole discretion of the Dean of ANRS and the Rodeo Coach. The Association does not determine to whom the scholarships are awarded.

A newsletter was issued at the beginning of November to all members (if you have paid your dues and did not receive a newsletter - email us! If you didn't get one and hadn't paid your dues - mail them in and we'll get one to you!). We're also already beginning to make plans for next year's Reunion (which will include a Hall of Fame Induction) and we will soon be deciding some of the issues brought up at the Business Meeting this year.  Keep watching for more information and your opportunity to voice your comments.
