Balmorhea Statistics

Balmorhea offers a variety of recreational activities. Three miles south of the city is Balmorhea State Park with the world's largest spring-fed swimming pool of 1 3/4 acres, a 30-foot depth and a capacity of over 3 1/2 million gallons. Its constant year-round temperature of 72-76 degrees attracts swimmers, scuba and skin divers, campers and picnickers.

Facilities available include campsites, a motel, a recreation hall, day use areas, bathhouses and showers. Nearby is the 600 acre lake that feeds into the pool.
