Psychology

Undergraduate Program -- Bachelor of Arts Degree

The undergraduate program in psychology is designed to meet the needs of individuals interested in the liberal arts fields, a career in a human services profession or graduate study in psychology or social work.

Minor in Psychology

Psychology is offered as a minor field of study at Sul Ross State University. Students must complete 18 semester credit hours of psychology courses, including six semester credit hours of advanced coursework, for a psychology minor.

Graduate Program -- Master of Arts Degree

The master of arts degree in psychology is structured to meet the needs of persons preparing for careers in professional applied psychology that require training in general or clinical psychology, persons preparing for advanced graduate studies in psychology, persons interested in teaching or research in higher education and persons preparing for administrative or managerial careers in human services agencies.

The student will have the option of either thesis or non-thesis degree plans. Both thesis and non-thesis students will be able to choose either general psychology or a clinical support area for their degree focus.
