How to Change Elevation Units for a Grid

Load the grid into ArcView, choose Analysis/Map Calculator, double-click on the grid name, press the "*" and enter 0.3048, then press "Evaluate". Your calculation should look something like this:

( [29103d6] * 0.3048)

This process will create a new theme in your view (called "Map Calculation 1"). If you want to keep it, you will need to make it active, then choose "Theme/Convert to Grid", and store the grid in a directory of your choice. Note: You can use this same procedure to change a grid from meters to feet by using the conversion value of 3.281 feet.
