The following investment information for Sul Ross State University is presented for the purpose of compliance with the State Auditor's Office reporting requirements (required in Rider 5, page III-231 of the General Appropriations Act – 77th Legislature) and the investment requirements outlined in the Public Funds Investment Act presented in Chapter 2256 of the Texas Government Code. Investment Advisors
 
All Investment Advisors must be approved by the TSUS prior to conducting business with Sul Ross State University. For information on becoming an Approved Investment Advisor, call the TSUS Vice Chancellor for Finance at (512) 463-1808 or access the web site at www.tsus.edu. All Investment Advisors must obtain approval prior to the investment of university funds. Sul Ross State University does not currently employ investment advisors.

  • Sul Ross State University Friends of the Center for Big Bend Studies: The purpose of the organization is to support the mission and the programs of the Center for Big Bend Studies. The Center for Big Bend Studies fosters interdisciplinary scholarship of the diverse prehistoric, historic and modern cultures of the borderlands region of the United States and Mexico, with emphasis on the area encompassed by Trans-Pecos Texas and north-central Mexico. The center is committed to the recovery, protection and sharing of this region's rich cultural legacy through dynamic programs involving research, education, public outreach and publication. Assets of the Foundation at 8/31/2012 totaled $ 75,989 and solely consisted of cash in bank.
  • Sul Ross State University Support Organization: The purpose of the organization is to support the mission and the programs of Sul Ross State University. Assets of the Foundation at 8/31/2012 totaled $169 and solely consisted of cash in bank.
Soft Dollar Arrangements
 
The university does not use soft dollar arrangements.
