SRSU Blackboard Information and Help

Blackboard is a web-based learning environment that enables instructors to enhance on-campus learning and/or deliver distance learning by bringing their course materials, class discussions, assignments and assessments (tests/quizzes) to the web. Your instructor will let you know if your class uses Blackboard or not.

SRSU Blackboard News (Fall 2011)

IMPORTANT: We continue to experience Internet Explorer browser problems with certain online testing in Blackboard. Our instructors should alert students if they are deploying an online test that necessitates the student using a different browser (i.e. the Mozilla Firefox browser) other than the Internet Explorer browser or the Safari browser to take the test. A link to the Mozilla Firefox browser free download page can be found on our Blackboard login page.

In the meantime, a multi-browser approach seems to be working best.
ON A PC:  We suggest that you have both Internet Explorer v8 and Mozilla Firefox v3.6 available to use, (i.e. you may use Firefox for taking online tests and you can use Internet Explorer for everything else if you wish).
ON A MAC: We suggest that you have both Safari v5 and Mozilla Firefox v3.6 available to use.

SRSU and Blackboard does not endorse using the Google Chrome browser. Chrome is not a completely compatible browser for interfacing with Blackboard.
