SRSU Game Room

The Game Room is typically open from 10 am to 9 pm Monday through Friday, and Noon through 8 pm on Saturday and Sunday. It closes during Sully Productions activities, as well as many athletic events, to encourage students to attend the programs offered. It may also close early if there have been no players for several hours, or if the workers are needed for a set-up in the Espino Conference Center.

The University Center employs currently-enrolled students as a set-up crew for events held in the building, as well as those working in the Game Room. Employees for the Spiring 2009 semester are:

Chris Garcia Kelly Hotz James Johnson
Pierre Martin Michael Van Wagner Jason Wickery
Katheryn Will

The maximum number of players allowed in the Game Room at any given time is 30. Sitting on the equipment is prohibited. Students are required to sign-in and leave their ID when using the Game Room equipment. Employees will enforce this and students who ignore or disrespect the employees will lose their right to use the Game Room. Food and drinks are not allowed in the Game Room. The University Center is a tobacco-free building and no tobacco of any type will be permitted in the building.

The Game Room staff has scheduled tournaments to supplement activities held during the week sponsored by other campus groups. Please let the UC Services Coordinator (UC 108A) or the student workers know if you have suggestions for tournaments!

A variety of games are available through the Game Room and can be checked out for use in the dining area, outside of normal meal times:

Cards Checkers Chess Dominoes

In addition to the air hockey, 3 pool tables, ping-pong, and foosball, we have a NEW 37" HDTV with PlayStation 2 and  X-Box 360 with games that can be checked out for play in the Game Room - including Rock Band: The Beatles, Guitar Hero: Van Halen,  Aerosmith, and more!. Students are also welcome to bring in their own games to play. Please be aware you will be charged for damage to the equipment should you get a little too involved in the game!

Watch the Game Room and UC bulletin boards for information on upcoming tournaments.

If you have suggestions for other board and/or PS2 or X-Box games you'd like us to carry, just let us know!
