The Center for Enrollment Services in Lawrence Hall is a one-stop center for admissions and registration support.

Staff members from the Registrar's Office, Financial Aid, the Controller's Office and Recruiting work together to help students through the enrollment process.

Getting Started with Sul Ross

Sul Ross is a place where you can become the person you want to be. We want to make it easier for you to get here. Follow the links below to specific pages or contact the Center for Enrollment Services for more information on applying, financial aid, campus tours and frequently asked questions.

If you’re planning to attend Sul Ross, you’ll need to apply online using the Texas Common Application at Apply Texas. Gather official copies of high school transcripts, any prior college transcripts, and test scores. The admissions checklists for undergraduate, graduate, and international students summarize all the requirements.

After the university reviews the application, we notify applicants of their acceptance status. In some cases additional documentation may be requested. Once accepted, students can proceed with orientation, advising, and registration.

Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium

Sul Ross State University is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium of approximately 1,900 colleges and univeristies. SOC Consortium members subscribe to principles and criteria to ensure that quality academic programs are available to servicemembers, including members of the National Guard and Coast Guard, their family members, reservists, and veterans of all Services.  As a SOC Consortium member, Sul Ross State University ensures that military students share in appropriately accredited postsecondary educational opportunities available to other citizens.  Flexibility of programs and procedures, particularly in admissions, counseling, credit transfer, course articulations, recognition of non-tradiational learning experiences, scheduling, course format, and residency requirements are provided to enhance access of servicemembers and their family members to higher education.
