Current Honors Students

Required Activities

As a member of the Honors Program you are expected to participate in activities through out the academic year. You should attend and/or participate in one or more occurrence of each of the following activities: multicultural event, university-sponsored lecture, art showing, a university sponsored social event, community service/leadership project and attend and/or present at a conference/field trip. Please look at the Events and Happenings calendar for some suggestions and possible group activities that can be used to fulfill some of these requirements.

For each of the activities please prepare a brief description which includes the type, title of the activity and date. If you wish and/or you believe that it is warranted, submit a more detailed account of your experience.

  • Multicultural Activity (1 per semester)
  • Lecture (1 per semester)
  • Art Show or Theatrical Performance (1 per semester)
  • Attend or Participate in an Athletic Event (1 per semester)
  • Conference/Field Trip (3 before graduation/at least 1 conference)
  • Community Service/Leadership Project (10 hours per semester)

Students participating in the Honors Program must take three semester Honors credit hours each long academic semester.
