Gear Rental

Policies

Sul Ross State University Recreational Programs provides equipment rentals to the entire SRSU community to encourage everyone to enjoy the outdoors without being held back by the cost of gear.  We can also help you plan a trip with information about local destinations or activities.  Reservations for equipment rental should be made at least 24-hours in advance.   A current SRSU ID will also be needed to borrow items.

Gear Rental Charge
Backpacks & Canteens & Grills $1.00
Tents $5.00
Sleeping Bags $ 3.00

Gear is typically checked out for one weekend at a time, but other arrangements can be made if necessary.  If gear is not returned by the agreed-upon date, a $15 late fee will be charged.  If all equipment is not returned after a reasonable amount of time, one's account may be charged for the total cost of the equipment's replacement.  Please call the office to let us know about circumstances that may keep you from returning the gear at the proper time.
