Sully's Super Sprint

All racers' meeting at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at Graves-Pierce Complex. Start gun will go off at 8 a.m. Distances: 3.1-mile run, 15-mile bike, 360-meter swim. Course Description: A rolling-course run with a few rises or small hills interspersed through beautiful Sul Ross campus and adjacent campus community. Bike will be out and back course on Highway 90 where a personal best is possible. The swim will take place at the Sul Ross Pool, a heated indoor facility. Field Size: This event is limited to 150 competitors. Everyone is encouraged to enter early to ensure a spot in the race. Men and Women's Age Groups: 15 and younger, 16-20,21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45,46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66-70, 70-plus. Clydesdale and Athena division. Relays: Teams may include two or three team members, with each member completing at least one full course segment. Divisions will include men's, women's and mixed. Awards: Medals for placing in each division. Entry Fee: $35 per person before March 8, 2010; free to SRSU students, faculty and staff who sign up also by March 8, 2010. All entries after March 8th will be $45. $60.00 per team (teams can include two or three people) Payment Options: Cash, check or money order made out to Sul Ross State University, mailed or paid in person to Recreational Programs Director at Graves-Pierce Complex. Results: Official results will be posted at the awards ceremony and online at this web site. Packet Pickup: Saturday, March 20, 2010, 1-6 p.m. at Graves-Pierce Recreational Complex on Sul Ross campus. Late pickup/registration will be held Sunday morning 6:45-7:20 a.m. |
