What We Offer

One of the Alumni Association's goals is to have a successful volunteer program. The Alumni Recruitment Program provides a variety of opportunties for enthusiastic and engaged alumni to support the Office of Recruiting, which partner with the Alumni Relations in this program. Alumni volunteers assist by being availble to perspective students and their parents, thereby helping potential students make the important decision to matriculate to Sul Ross. Ways to include:

  • Alumni representatives at local college fairs serve as the extension of the Office of Recruiting and as the main resource for prospective student who are seeking information about Sul Ross and the community. You may call the Office of Recruiting at (432) 837-8050 for a schedule of recruiting events occuring in your local area.
  • Alumni volunteers make phone calls to each prospective student in their area to assist them as a main resource on their decision to attend Sul Ross., welcome them to the Sul Ross community, invite them to local Lobo Previews Nights, Admitted Students Reception, and answer questions.
  • Admitted Students Receptions provide the opportunity for prospective undergraduate students and their parents to meet local alumni as well as other admitted students and their parents so they may ask questions, receive information, and matriculate to Sul Ross.
