CLINTON, Mississippi – Kendall Smith posted 30:57.30 and finished 21st out of 76 runners in the men’s 8K at Saturday’s American Southwest Conference Cross Country Championships. This year’s conference meet was hosted by Mississippi College.

Other Sul Ross runners included Stefan Hambright (46th, 34:13.92), Jordon Gonzalez (49th, 34:38.52) and Kyle Anderson (59th, 36:19.11).

Mississippi College’s Tino Gonzalez won the men’s title with a time of 28:02.32.

On the women’s side, Channon Nay finished 31st out of 79 competitors in the 6K with a time of 28:52.78.

McMurry’s Carla Lewis was the top finisher at 25:01.51.
