Online Mentoring Program

The Gear Up E-Mentoring Program is designed to give students a chance to explore various career fields through threaded discussions with volunteer mentors. The program is administered through the Sul Ross State University Blackboard website and enlists mentors with educational degrees and expertise in particular career fields.

Gear Up students and mentors post discussion items on the Gear Up Blackboard web site relating to degree requirements, pay scales, typical job duties and pre-college preparation for the career of their choice. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer mentor for the Sul Ross Gear Up Program may contact the Gear Up Director at (432) 837-8807.
