Lobo Sweethearts cont..
Seta was a student in the Geology Summer Field Camp which I taught. After graduating from Hunter College she returned to SRSU to earn a Masters degree. I am still teaching at SRSU, Seta teaches at Saunders Technical High School in Yonkers, NY. We have a daughter, Amy, who graduated from Penn State in December 2007. We have been married for 24 years; we married on December 16, 1983.
My wife and I have been married for thirty five years. We met in Roy Lassiter’s Speech 1301 class in the spring of 1969. We married in Alpine, Texas, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, on July 26, 1973. We both have bachelors and master’s degrees from SRSU and our oldest son holds a Master’s degree in school administration. We have three sons, two of which are currently educators. We all have very fond memories of our campus days on the hill at SRSU in Alpine. Thanks for the memories!!!
Larry was the quarterback of the football team so I traveled to watch him play every weekend. At the beginning of his senior year, he broke the thumb on his throwing hand. We spent many dates walking to the field house to get treatment for his thumb. It was an exciting time at Sul Ross. The team did really well and got to play in a playoff game. They lost in a heart breaker to William Jewel. I graduated that December and moved to Midland to work. That spring Larry started his student teaching in Fort Stockton but was cut short to go and work in Texas City, Texas with Coach George. He proposed on June 12 and we got married on August 6, 1983. It was a very short engagement. Larry has been coaching and I have been teaching ever since that August. We have 2 wonderful boys, now 22 and 19 years old. Our Wedding Date: August 6, 1983 |
