How the Program Works

Students in the Chihuahua programThe SRSU Executive MBA at Chihuahua is designed for young executives and mid-career managers who are at general management levels or who will soon assume those responsibilities.

It is seeking candidates who want to increase their understanding of business and management to enable performance at a higher level.

Curriculum

The EMBA curriculum consists of 12 courses at 3 semester credit hours each. The courses are offered in a two-year rotation and may be completed over a period ranging from two to six years. Students may begin the program in any semester. See the schedule for course rotation details through 2009-2010. The courses are:

Class Meetings

Students in the Chihuahua classEach course meets in a UACH classroom over five weekends. The weekend classes are designated to meet on Fridays from 1800 MST to 2100 MST (or DMT) and on Saturdays from 0800 to 1300 MST (or DMT).

The professor, in keeping with the program's family-friendly commitment, may elect to conduct up to two weekend classes through Blackboard.

Tuition

The per-course tuition beginning with the fall 2008 semester is $650. Course materials are an additional cost. Tuition includes the perquisite of access to each university’s facilities, including academic and recreational, in accordance with standard university student regulations.

Grades

An overall grade point average of 3.0 is required to earn the degree. An individual course grade of 2.0 is required for course credit.

Orientation

One student orientation session is expected every other program year on the Alpine campus of SRSU. The orientation may be offered in conjunction with a scheduled class weekend. Family and significant friends are encouraged to attend.
