Sustainable Agricultural Freshwater Conservation in the Rio Grande Basin Project

    Research supported through the Rio Grande Research Center emphasizes investigations that identify, quantify and characterize the integrity of ecologies at the intersection of  hydrology and economy within the 300,000 square mile, bi-national Rio Grande basin boundary.

    The multi-year Sustainable Agricultural Freshwater Conservation in the Rio Grande Basin project has produced over 60 research projects to date encompassing groundwater, surface water, biological, vegetation and animal species studies and human factors.
