Academic Advising Development Committee

The role of the Academic Advising Development Committee is to aid the Title V project in the research, design, and development of the academic advising center to include:

  • Researching best practices in advising
  • Exploring other universities who already have best practices in place
  • Develop strategies for implementing the advising center
  • Carrying out the advising center pilot projects
  • Participate in the evaluation and modification process

The ultimate goal is to develop and institutionalize a system of academic advising to increase retention and to better assist students in adjusting both academically and socially to campus life.
