Sul Ross Alumni Association Chapters

The SRSU Alumni Association currently sponsors and supports alumni chapters. We hope to expand throughout Texas. Chapters are formed primarily because alumni have a special love for SRSU and want to enhance their relationship with all this great University represents.

Looking for a way to reconnect with SRSU and other alumni but haven't found the way that best fits your interests? Maybe there's an alumni chapter that can help you make this connection. The purpose of the chapter program is to reconnect alumni to SRSU and to other alumni who share a similar profession, culture, geographic location or special interest. Chapter members can enjoy the benefits of the Alumni Association in addition to the many chapter benefits.

Local chapter activities vary. Many chapters sponsor scholarships and support academic recruiting in their area.  Planned activities include golf tournaments, picnics, and freshman send offs.  If you would like to become a member of your local chapter, call the chapter contact listed for your area.  Alumni chapters are ready to welcome new members and volunteers.

Alumni Association Chapters is a recognized chartered organization established under the corporate umbrella of the SRSU Alumni Association consisting of alumni and friends living in assigned geographic area, associated with a college or professional school or having a shared special interest. A steering committee and/or board of directors must be formed in order to be considered a chartered chapter.


Alumni Association Contacts are individual volunteers living in an area where an official board of directors or steering committee has not been formed. Volunteers serve as a point of contact for alumni and friends traveling to the area and resource for SRSU faculty and staff. Contacts may be called upon to assist the Alumni Association in developing and coordinating activities for area alumni.

A SRSU alumni chapter and contact exist to support the mission of the SRSU Alumni Association.

Mission

As an extension of the SRSU Alumni Association alumni chapters mission is to serve the community of SRSU alumni, students, and friends by providing lifelong connections to Sul Ross State University

* Coordinate local alumni activities and events in support of SRSU

* Promote membership in the Alumni Association
