I received my BFA in Ceramics from Wichita State University. After finishing the BFA, I went on to do graduate work at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. Deciding to pursue studio work, I moved back to Kansas and began applying to art festivals.

Coming from a place where one gets to experience the change of seasons, I appreciate every season and wait for its new arrival. Each season brings forth fresh colors and textures that serve as my inspiration.

I am still fascinated with the stages
that clay must go through

I work with clay because I love the material and its creative possibilities. I am still fascinated with the stages that clay must go through to produce a finished piece. Much like the organic life must endure rain, snow, and wind to begin new life, the clay process too has its own seasons. I have discovered through the years that this “new life” process holds my interest and keeps me working with clay.
