Ross State University is now accepting applications for
participation in a small business incubator project, located at the
Centennial School Building in Alpine. Business incubation is a business support process that is designed to accelerate the successful development of start-up and fledgling companies by providing entrepreneurs with a smorgasbord of targeted resources and services. The primary goal of business incubation is the production of successful firms – financially strong and independent. Graduates have the potential to create jobs, revitalize neighborhoods, introduce creative strategies, and strengthen local economies. Applicants must be a new or expanding for-profit small business and must demonstrate a need for incubator services. They must have, or be prepared to develop, a viable business plan and be able to justify their inability to afford a direct move into the private sector at the time of application. Applicants must also demonstrate the potential for job creation in the Big Bend region.
