Del Rio―Carlos Obrador, the Mexican Consul in Del Rio, presented a $5,000 check on behalf of the Mexican government to Sul Ross State University on Tues., Sep. 17.

Thanks to the generosity of the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME) through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the scholarship money will benefit Mexican nationals and students with close ties to Mexico who attend SRSU in Del Rio. The funds promote higher education to Mexican citizens so they may contribute to the enrichment of the host country.
