Eagle Pass Blood Drive

by Laura Nelson

Sul Ross State University in Eagle Pass is hosting a blood drive for the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center on Thurs., Aug. 13 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the SRSU campus located at 3107 Bob Rogers Drive in Building D.

Your health and safety is our top priority, and South Texas Blood & Tissue Center personnel follow social distancing guidelines and provide adequate space in check-in areas and donor chairs. They also follow many other protocols before, during, and after the donation process. All staff and donors are required to wear masks and if you do not have one, we will provide one. All donations are by appointment only. Make yours today! https://donor.southtexasblood.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/123138

Eagle Pass has a critical need for blood. Your donation can help save the life of someone in your family, a friend, or a neighbor. Please help us spread the word to fill every appointment available!

To thank you for your commitment to maintaining the blood supply in south Texas, all blood donations taken by Aug. 31 will be tested for the antibody to COVID-19 at no cost to the donor. Donors will receive results by mail within 14 days.

In addition, each donor will be entered in a drawing for a two-year lease on a 2020 Ford Mustang from Jordan Ford and donors will choose an eGift card from hundreds of retailers.

You may also complete your pre-donation health questionnaire on the day of your scheduled appointment before arriving to help streamline the process. Find that document at www.southtexasblood.org/donordoc.

Let's work together to increase the low supply of blood in south Texas—make your appointment to donate today!
