Special Guest Talk: "The Frozen Zoo: A tool to rewind extinction?" Dr. Korody is working on the northern white rhino rescue project, closely with collaborators at The Scripps Research Institute to optimize the production of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from banked rhino fibroblast cells in the Frozen Zoo for potential use as assisted reproductive technologies. Please share/invite other faculty and students. Dr. Korody will be talking about the San Diego Frozen Zoo initiative; she will answer questions at the end! Let’s demonstrate how engaged and interested the Lobo community is and listen to some groundbreaking research in cell biology, genetics, reproduction, conservation and the future of endangered species. This event will take place at RAS room 130.
