EVP/Provost Search

Sul Ross State University announced the search for the University’s Executive Vice President and Provost, an appointment to become effective on or about August 1, 2019.  The new executive vice president and provost will succeed Dr. Jim Case who will retire at end of the summer in 2019.

The executive vice president will be asked to strategically serve as the chief academic officers of the university, reporting directly to the president.  As such, the provost is responsible for establishing the strategic vision for academic programs, the development and execution of new academic programs, the assessment of current academic programs, the assessment of student learning outcomes, retention and student success, and the establishment of academic policies and procedures.

We look forward to the opportunity to meet individuals with vision and drive who will support the goals of Sul Ross State University.  The next provost will play a significant leadership role on the executive team of President Bill Kibler, who is in his fifth year as president of Sul Ross State University.
