Presidential Search 2020

The search is underway to find the next president of Sul Ross State University to replace President Bill Kibler, who announced his retirement in December 2019.

Starting in February 2020 and continuing through May 2020, an Advisory Search Committee, made up of faculty, staff, student and community representatives, will work with an executive search firm, Wheless Search and Consulting, to conduct a national search with the goal of identifying three to four exceptionally-qualified candidates.

These candidates will be invited to SRSU (Alpine, Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde) to visit with key stakeholders and interview with Chancellor Brian McCall. The Chancellor will select a sole finalist to be approved by the Texas State University System (TSUS) Board of Regents.
