Homeland Security and Criminal Justice
The Homeland Security and Criminal Justice department offers four degree options designed to prepare our students for challenging careers within the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security fields. We offer a B.S. in either Criminal Justice or Homeland Security, and an M.S. in either Criminal Justice or Homeland Security.
Many of our undergraduate course offerings and all of our graduate course offerings are now web based. Graduate programs in particular cater to the needs of the working professional, allowing 24 hour access, advanced topics and projects, and peer networking with others working in the field.
Fall 2016 - The Law Enforcement Academy has been renamed the H. Joaquin Jackson Law Enforcement Academy in honor of the late Texas Ranger. Since summer 2015 the academy has been a part of the Department of Homeland Security and Criminal Justice. This opens new opportunities for students to complete their undergraduate degree while also attending the Academy training.
Spring 2016 - The Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Department is pleased to announce the new Bachelor of Science Degree in Homeland Security. This degree begins in the Fall semester of 2016 - Applications are being accepted now.
Spring 2015 -The Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Department is pleased to announce the new Master of Science Degree in Homeland Security. Students may also choose this program in a dual option with Public Administration.
