Recreational Programs Facilities
Recreational Sports is located in the Graves-Pierce Recreational Complex on the Sul Ross State University campus in Alpine, Texas (see the online Campus Map). The facilities include an indoor pool, basketball/volleyball courts, a sauna, racquetball courts, a cardio room, a weight room, a multipurpose dance room and classrooms.
Valid IDs are needed for entry into the Graves-Pierce Gym. This includes only current SRSU student IDs or current Graves-Pierce membership cards. Individuals without the proper identification will be asked to get their IDs before gaining access to the facilities. Anyone under the age of 18 must have adult supervision at all times to enter and remain in the facility. Everyone must enter the facility from the main entrance by the front desk. For admission to the pool, one may either show his/her current SRSUstudent ID, Graves-Pierce Membership, or a current Century Club ID or must pay $2 per person (starting Sept. 1, 2007), all ages. Children under 18 must have a parent stay with them while they swim. Be prepared to show ID to prove age. Patrons are required to follow all posted rules and may be asked to leave without a refund if they are causing a disturbance or putting others at risk. Lifeguard must be on duty for pool to be open.
