Welcome to Sul Ross State University and the College of Graduate Studies!

The College of Graduate Studies exists to promote the university’s twenty graduate programs and assist its more than seven hundred graduate students.  The SRSU Executive Vice President and Provost, Dr. Robert Kinucan (BAB 203), is curently overseeing the Graduate Studies and Research area.  The Graduate Student Center, located in BAB 104, provides a computer lab, a conference room, several types of equipment for check-out, and thesis-writing support for all graduate students. Our SRSU Provost office works with the Graduate Council to create policies and disseminate information concerning SRSU’s graduate programs, admission requirements, and institutional effectiveness.  In conjunction with the academic departments, the graduate college establishes guidelines and timelines for the submission of thesis and masters’ projects.

Thesis Submission Deadlines: Fall 2019
September 20, 2019:
Submit thesis to Committee Chair
October 11, 2019:
Submit thesis to Committee Members

November 8, 2019:
Submit signed hard copy & electronic copy of thesis to the Graduate Studies Thesis Coordinator officed in the Graduate Student Center (BAB 104) to be edited

November 25, 2019:
Submit electronic copy of revised thesis to the Graduate Studies Thesis Coordinator officed in the Graduate Student Center (BAB 104) for final approval

December 5, 2019:
Submit pdf copy of thesis to ProQuest for review & online submission

For any semester at Sul Ross, a General Thesis Submission Timeline is provided.
