Dr. Laura Payne
Dean of Graduate
Studies

Welcome to Sul Ross State University and the College of Graduate Studies!

The College of Graduate Studies exists to promote the university’s twenty graduate programs and assist its more than seven hundred graduate students.  The SRSU Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, Dr. Laura Payne (lbutler@sulross.edu), is your direct contact and is here to support you in the pursuance of your graduate degrees.  The Graduate Student Center, located in BAB 104, provides a computer lab, a conference room, several types of equipment for check-out, and thesis-writing support for all graduate students. Our Graduate Studies Dean works with the Graduate Council to create policies and disseminate information concerning SRSU’s graduate programs, admission requirements, and institutional effectiveness.  In conjunction with the academic departments, the graduate college establishes guidelines and timelines for the submission of thesis and masters’ projects.
