Sul Ross State University in Del Rio is teaming up with Esperanza First to host a blood drive for the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center on Fri., Aug. 21 from 9 a.m-3 p.m. at the Esperanza First Fellowship Hall, 301 Ave. G, in Del Rio.
The need for blood continues in the Del Rio community as some of our neighbors and friends face health challenges that rely on an ample amount of blood for life support. Supplies are currently low and patients in south Texas are counting on eligible donors. All donations are by appointment only. Schedule yours today!

To thank you for your commitment to maintaining the blood supply in south Texas, all blood donations taken by Aug. 31 will be tested for the antibody to COVID-19 at no cost to the donor. Donors will receive results by mail within 14 days.
In addition, each donor will be entered in a drawing for a two-year lease on a 2020 Ford Mustang from Jordan Ford and donors will choose an eGift card from hundreds of retailers.
Your health is our top priority. South Texas Blood & Tissue Center personnel follow social distancing guidelines and provide adequate space in check-in areas and donor chairs. All staff and donors are required to wear masks and if you do not have one, we will provide one.
You may also complete your pre-donation health questionnaire on the day of your scheduled appointment before arriving to help streamline the process. Find that document at www.southtexasblood.org/donordoc.
